Truths

The best truths are what one experiences first-hand, but even then that may not be the same for others. Many things we do not experience, but are made to be experienced. The selection of the to-be-experienced and the intent of the presenters makes a difference. Even if one experiences something on their own, the critical factor is not the subject, but the cognitive orientation of the experiencer. Different people respond differently to the same thing.

By and large, barring some very basic things, like this is a bat and that is a ball, truths are what we favour and lies are what we disfavour.

What are objective truths then? It is mutuality. It is the sense of respectability and responsibility towards others. It is something human agency endeavours to nurture in each. A crisis looms large when such endeavours do not materialise or insufficiently materialise.

Truth is truthfulness
